Ice breaking party
A welcome reception for the participants of the conference will take place on Sunday, September 5th, in the building of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences at 18:00.
The registration office will open on Sunday evening from 17:00.

On Monday evening we will organise a free sightseeing tour by ship on river Danube between the two pictureous landscapes of Buda and Pest to introduce for the participants of the Conference the city of Budapest. The tour will start at 7 p.m. from the harbour located in about 10-15 minutes on foot from the venue of the Conference.

Sightseeing tour (September 7, Tuesday 10:00 - 13:00) EUR 25 / person
During the 3-hour-long guided tour participants will visit the most important spots of our capital (Heroes Square, Castle Hill, Opera etc.) by coach.

Knight show and medieval dinner party in the Danube Bend by coach (September 8, Wednesday 16:00 - 23:00) EUR 55 / person
Visit to the Northern part of Hungary where participants will have a view to the exhibition in Salamon Tower with a cocktail on the top. Than a knight show will take place with many surprises performed by the St. George Knights followed by a medieval dinner party at the Renessaince Restaurant.

Conference dinner in restaurant Udvarház (September 9, Thursday 19:00 - 24:00) EUR 35/person (students EUR 25/person) +EUR 10/person for transportation and City by night sight-seeing (optional)
The mansion can be found on the top of Hármashatárhegy in the hilly part of Buda where the view is beautiful. The food is typically Hungarian and the folklore program is very attractive.

Excursion to Lake Balaton by coach (September 11, Saturday 8:15 - 19:00) EUR 55 / person
Visit to the Northern coast of Lake Balaton, short stop at Tihany Peninsula at the 1000-year old abbey. Delicious lunch will be served en route with wine-tasting.

All programs will depart from the parking lot of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.

CONTOURS Congress and Travel Bureau Ltd. is entrusted by the Research Institute for Solid State Physics and Optics to handle the accommodation and programs of the EAC’ 2004 to be held in Budapest.
